The Lone Star Derby is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually since 1997 at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Inaugurated in 1997 as a Listed race, it was elevated to Grade III status in 2002.

The race is open to three-year-olds and is run over a distance of 1 1/16 miles (8.5 furlongs) on dirt. For the three years from 2001 through 2003, it was raced at 1⅛ miles.

In 2008 the Lone Star Derby will provide a purse of $400,000.
