Stephen Lovatt (born May 27, 1964 in Wellington, New Zealand) is an actor, best known for his portrayal of the character Max Hoyland on the Australian soap "Neighbours".

Since training as an actor at the New Zealand Drama School, Lovatt has appeared on various television shows; his credits include "Medivac", "Being Eve", "Something in the Air", "Cleopatra 2525", "Mysterious Island", ' and its two spin-offs, "Young Hercules" and '. In addition, he stars in the forthcoming feature film "Show of Hands".

In 2006, Lovatt was awarded the title "Australia's Brainiest Neighbour" on a celebrity edition of the game show Australia's Brainiest.
