AKAP8

AKAP8

A kinase (PRKA) anchor protein 8, also known as AKAP8, is a human gene.cite web | title = Entrez Gene: AKAP8 A kinase (PRKA) anchor protein 8| url = http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=10270| accessdate = ]

PBB_Summary
section_title =
summary_text = The A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) are a group of structurally diverse proteins, which have the common function of binding to the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A (PKA) and confining the holoenzyme to discrete locations within the cell. This gene encodes a member of the AKAP family. The encoded protein is located in the nucleus during interphase and is distinctly redistributed during mitosis. This protein has a cell cycle-dependent interaction with the RII subunit of PKA.cite web | title = Entrez Gene: AKAP8 A kinase (PRKA) anchor protein 8| url = http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=10270| accessdate = ]
