Lackey also host an Air Force JROTC program. Their drill teams are broken down into 2 catagories; Ruff Ryders (armed) and Ladies of Destruction (unarmed). In the school year '07 - 08 the two drill teams competed in the National High School Drill Team Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla known also as "The Best of the Best". The Ruff Ryders finished Second overall in the challenge level and picked up two events trophies.Fact|date=September 2008 The Ladies of Destruction finished in the top five in unarmed regulation at the masters level.Fact|date=September 2008
Overall the drill teams competed in seven competions throughout the school year. They placed either first overall or second overall in six of the competions and third overall in the other. For the school year, they earned and amazing 65 trophies, 31 which were first place.Fact|date=September 2008
