Matt Shepard (born 1965 in Farmington Hills, Michigan) is a sports radio and television broadcaster on WDFN and FSN Detroit covering professional and collegiate sports in the metro Detroit area since the 1990s.
Career
Shepard has served in a variety of roles since being hired by FSN Detroit in 1999. Shepard has done CCHA play-by-play, MHSAA championships (Football & Basketball) play-by-play, Detroit Shock and fill-in play-by-play for the Pistons. He also hosted the Pistons pregame show and the Lions postgame show. He also contributes as a features reporter for the network, and formerly did sports updates at WWJ-AM from 1993-2001, and at WDFN for the Jamie & Brady show from 2001-2007.
Currently, Shepard is the host of the morning show on WDFN and a sports reporter for FSN Detroit. He is currently the radio voice of University of Michigan basketball. He is also currently the pre-game and halftime show co-host and sideline reporter and fill in play-by-by announcer for Detroit Lions pre-season games, as well as host of host of The Ford Lions Report [cite news |work=DetroitLions.com |date=2008 |url=http://www.detroitlions.com/section_display.cfm?section_id=74&top=1&level=3| title=Ford Lions Report] during the regular season, on The Detroit Lions Television Network.
Personal
Shepard, who currently resides in Farmington Hills, Michigan where he is married to Lisa, with four children.

Shepard graduated from North Farmington High School in 1983 where he played football and baseball.
College
Shepard graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in journalism.
