- Eordaikos
Eordaikos (in Greek Εορδαϊκός) was the historical football club of
Ptolemaida city (Prefecture ofKozani -Greece). It was considered one of the best football club in west Macedonia and was dominantly established as soon as it played in second division (Β' Κατηγορία). The jersey color were yellow and green. Some structural changes and more specifically mergers with local clubs changed the name over the last decade. It is believed that those mergers helped the Western Macedonian football history to remain alive and go through the myriad problems that all the county clubs were suffering from. The names were Irakli Ptolemaida and the other was PAS Ptolemaidas. Since 2003, the team is now known as
Ptolemaida-Lignitirychoi and plays in the third division. The last part of the name comes from the main mining resource in the area, lignite . The present jersey color is blue with yellow (the yellow from Eordaikos and Blue fromIrakli Ptolemaidas ).
