Acrassicauda is an
Iraq i heavy metal band formed in 2000/2001. The band claims to take their name from the name of a black scorpion commonly found in Iraqi deserts. Consisting of lead vocalist Faisal Talal, guitarist Tony Aziz, bassist Firas Al-Lateef and drummer Marwan Riyak, the band claims to be the only Iraqi heavy metal band in existence,cite web|url=http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story/0,23663,22679131-5007184,00.html|title=Band on the run - Iraqi rockers seek new home|publisher=News Limited|accessdate=2007-12-15|date=October 31 ,2007 ] though there is a sizable heavy metal underground scene in Iraq. Heavy Metal in Baghdad ", made by Canadians Eddy Moretti and Suroosh Alvi. It premiered in September 2007 at the 2007Toronto International Film Festival .
