lake inOntario ,Canada . Located convert|20|km|mi|0 north of Kingston, Ontario. Loughborough Lake is famous for its natural beauty. This lake is convert|34|km|mi long and convert|18|km2|sqmi in area, is dotted with many small islands, and has over convert|160|km|mi of shoreline. From the lily padded back bays and weed beds, to the convert|38|m|ft|1 of water where the lake trout can be found, this lake offers the type of structure that is a fisherman's paradise.In the shallow portion, with depths to convert|10|m|ft|0, of Loughborough Lake you will find large mouth and small mouth bass, northern pike and a variety of pan fish. The deeper, reservoir like portion contains large mouth and small mouth bass, northern pike, lake trout, rainbow trout and pan fish. The lake was once part of a
splake stocking program and the odd splake is still caught on occasion to this day. This portion is prime habitat for the bass, northern pike and pan fish. The deep West Basin is the prime habitate for lake trout and rainbow trout. As well as northern pike and largemouth bass in the shallow Harper Bay and northwest bay.
The lake can be accessed off exit 619 from the 401. The village of
Battersea, Ontario is located on the shore of Loughborough Lake.ources
