In the first story arc, "Power" (issues #1-5, illustrated by
Ian Churchill ), Supergirl meets and ends up fighting many different DC characters as she searches for how she fits in on earth. When Lex Luthor exposes her to blackkryptonite , adoppelgänger emerges wearing a sleek black costume. After a showdown with theJLA , Dark Kara and Supergirl are recombined into one.Joe Kelly
The next story arc, "Candor" (issues #6-8), is kicked off with an issue guest written by
Greg Rucka . The rest of the arc is written by the new regular series writer, Joe Kelly. It is set a year after the events of the last story arc. Supergirl andPowergirl are fighting on Kandor disguised as Flamebird and Nightwing respectively.
