List of Jim Rockford's answering machine gags

One of the best known features of "The Rockford Files" is the messages left on Jim Rockford's answering machine in the title sequence of each episode.

The title sequence always begins with the phone ringing two or three times, then Rockford's answering machine kicking with the following greeting:

cquote|This is Jim Rockford. At the tone, leave your name and message. I'll get back to you. followed by a beep. The person calling would leave a message, then it would start into the rest of the title sequence.
