Gigi Perreau, born
February 6 ,1941 inLos Angeles, California as Ghislaine Elizabeth Marie Thérèse Perreau-Saussine, had great success as a child actress, but this did not carry forward into a substantialfilm career as she grew up. She did, however, have supporting roles in the 1959sitcom "The Betty Hutton Show " onCBS , (with her older brother Gerald), and in the "Follow the Sun"television series on ABC from 1961-1962, in which she playedsecretary Katherine Ann "Kathy" Richards.She appeared in 1960 on ABC's "Stagecoach West" as young woman eloping with her boyfriend, with a mysterious stranger in pursuit of the couple.
Gerald (stage names Peter Miles and Richard Miles) and, to a lesser extent, her younger sisters Janine and Lauren, also had a measure of success in film and on television.
She retired from acting in 1967. She was awarded a star on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame for her work in television.Perreau is an alumna of Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles and has taught drama classes there.
