The 2009 IIHF World U20 Championship, commonly referred to as the 2009 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, is the 2009 edition of the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and will be hosted in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Bid Process

On May 3, 2006, Hockey Canada and the Canadian Hockey League announced that Ottawa was chosen to host the 2009 tournament.
