Abdullah Atalar

Abdullah Atalar (b. April 11, 1954 in Turkey is the Provost of Bilkent University and a professor at Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Abdullah Atalar was born in Gaziantep, Turkey and received his bachelor's degree at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara before earning his PhD in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University in 1978.

He has been a faculty member in Bilkent's Department of Electrical Engineering since 1986, prior to which he was a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Department at METU. In 1995-1996 he was in the Ginzton Lab of Stanford University on a sabbatical leave. He is currently the CEO of Tepe Group, a notable corporation in Turkey.

His research interests include analog and digital integrated circuit design, linearization of RF power amplifiers, micromachined sensors and atomic force microscopy.
