Jenny Amanda Katarina Jenssen (born "Bengtsson", 12 September 1988 in Lund, Sweden is a Swedish performer who became famous after finishing second in the Swedish version of the popular talent show Idol after going head to head with Marie Picasso on 7th December 2007. Jenssen won 48.7% of the votes.
The reasons for which Amanda is said to have taken the name "Jenssen" rather than "Bengsston" are that: this was her father's name (he is Norweigan) and she believed it would sound better to use as an artist.

On the 3rd January 2008, Jenssen announced that she had landed a record deal. Her first single, "Do You Love Me", was released in stores on 23rd January.
The following single "Amarula Tree" (written by Jenssen and Pär Wiksten) was released on 16th April 2008.
The debut CD "Killing My Darlings" was due to be released on the 7th May 2008. A tour is planned for the Summer of 2008. Some of the songs on the album will be written by Marit Bergman and Vincent Pontare, but the rest will be written by Amanda herself. She has always aimed to write her songs without them all belonging to a specific genre. Her musical influences include Elvis Presley and her own Father.

Music has always played a large part in Amanda's life. Besides now pursuing her own solo career, Amanda was the lead singer in the band "Oh Hollie Neverdays" and in a cover band playing classics called "Amanda and the Papas". Amanda has also worked with musicians like Daniel Miller from the band "Wild Bleeding Heart" and Elina Nelson, another former participant in Swedish Idol.

Amanda's song Do You Love Me was played in the beginning of the third episode of American tv series Privileged.

Amanda is said to currently be dating fellow Swedish Idol 2007 contestant, Daniel Karlsson.
