The Miami Dolphin Honor Roll

The Miami Dolphin Honor Roll

The Miami Dolphin Honor Roll is a ring around the second tier at Dolphins Stadium in Miami, Florida which honor former players, coaches, contributors, and officials that have made significant contributions to the Miami Dolphins franchise.

The Miami Dolphin Honor Roll was started on Sept. 16, 1990 with its first inductee being the owner/founder of the Miami Dolphins: Joe Robbie...who passed away one year prior to his induction.

Since then, 14 players and one coach have been inducted into the honor roll, along with a special induction to honor the 1972 Undefeated Team, which was inducted in 1992 at the 20th Year Anniversary. Inductions included a special "four individual" induction in 1990 to honor the first four Miami Dolphin Hall of Famers of Csonka, Langer, Griese, and Warfield. There was also a special "duel" induction in 2003 of the "Marks Brothers" of Mark Clayton and Mark Duper.

Miami Dolphin Honor Roll inductees are chosen by current members of the honor roll as well as current franchise officials.

It was announced on June 16, 2008 that DT Bob Baumhower and DE Doug Betters will be the 18th and 19th inductees into the Miami Dolphin Honor Roll. Their names will officially be unveiled at Dolphin Stadium during halftime ceremonies of Miami's game against the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 14, 2008.
