Collabora's mission is to make Open Source the de-facto standard in the industry. It does this by providing consultancy for companies who are interested in using Open Source technologies. The initial focus of Collabora was Instant Messaging (IM), Voice over IP (VoIP) and videoconferencing technologies, but the company has since expanded its focus to include general multimedia, mobile web technologies, collaboration infrastructure and multimedia interoperability[3]. Collabora's customers include the OLPC, Nokia and Truphone[4].

- GStreamer - a multimedia framework. Collabora employs Wim Taymans, the GStreamer maintainer.
