Jim Taylor (born 1962 in Bellevue, Washington) is an Oscar-, Golden Globe- and BAFTA award-winning American screenwriter, best known as the writing partner of Alexander Payne. Together they have written:

*"About Schmidt" (2002)
*"Sideways" (2004)
*"I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" (2007)

Taylor is also one of the writers who worked on "Jurassic Park III" (2001). In 2006 he was linked to "Tupperware!", a feature film about the early days of the Tupperware company, but will now not be writing the script.

He is a graduate of Bellevue High School (Bellevue, WA) and Pomona College in Claremont, CA.
