Jason Rodney Lyons (born 15 June 1970 in Mildura, Australia) [Oakes, P.(2006). "Speedway Star Almanac". ISBN 0-9552376-1-0] is an international speedway rider currently riding for the Birmingham Brummies in the British Premier League. His father Rod was also a rider.

Career History

Lyons started his UK career with the Glasgow Tigers in the National League before joining the Belle Vue Aces in 1992 where he stayed for twelve consecutive seasons. [Bamford, R.(2007). "Speedway Yearbook 2007". ISBN 978-07524-4250-1] Lyons was a member of the Australian team that won the World Team Cup in 1999 and the team that won the World Cup in 2002.

In 2003 Lyons qualified for his only full season in the Speedway Grand Prix series, although he had ridden twice previously, finishing fourth in the Grand Prix of Great Britain in 2000.

In 2007 he signed for the newly reformed Birmingham Brummies as captain.cite web
