Austin Scaggs is a music critic and a senior editor for "Rolling Stone" magazine. He's also written for "Men's Journal". He has appeared on the MTV show, "I'm From Rolling Stone". His father is musician Boz Scaggs.

Scagg's older brother Oscar died of an accidental heroin overdose on New Year's Eve 1998. He had struggled with heroin for some time, and had recently completed drug rehab.
