Frank Wesbrook

Frank Fairchild Wesbrook (12 July 1868 – 20 October 1918) was a Canadian physician, academic, and University president. He was the first president of the University of British Columbia.

Born in Brant County, Ontario, Wesbrook graduated from University of Manitoba in 1887 and received his M.D. in 1890. In 1895, he was appointed Professor of Bacteriology at the University of Minnesota and became the first full-time Dean of Medicine in 1906. In 1913, he was appointed the first president of the University of British Columbia. He served until his death in 1918.
