- Srbská Kamenice
Srbská Kamenice ( _de. Windisch Kamnitz) is a
village in theCzech Republic ,Ústí nad Labem Region .It was founded in early 11th century by Lusatian Serbs,
refugees fromGermany after a military campaign of Henry II. In 2005, it had 206 inhabitants. There is abaroque church from the 18th century and anopen air museum of Czechoslovak fortifications from 1938.On
January 27 ,1972 Serbian stewardessVesna Vulović was the only person on board to survive the crash ofJAT Yugoslav Flight 364 , which exploded 10,160 meters (33,000 ft) above Srbská Kamenice. This won her an entry inGuinness Book of Records . She visited the village again on the 30th anniversary in 2002. A localboarding house is named after her (Pension Vesna).External links
