William Edwards (poet)

William Joseph Edwards (born 26 February, 1955) is a critically acclaimed Merseyside-based poet who has produced some of the preeminent works of the 21st century in the northwest of England. Edward's work include "tear for a tuppence" and "The Sober Judge". In 2006 William Edwards was named as man of the year by "The Edwardian", a magazine produced by St Edwards College, where Edwards is an alumni.

In 2005, Edwards made the highly successful transisition into television, appearing on such shows as Zap and Art Attack alongside fellow Merseyside television personality Neil Bucanhan.
