Potomac Crossing

"Potomac Crossing", not to be confused with Potomac Station, a larger subdivision in the vicinity, is a housing subdivision located in Leesburg, Virginia. Directly adjacent to Ball's Bluff Battlefield Regional Park, it is found east of Route 15 Bypass and south of the Potomac River. The Homeowner's Association [1] website reports that there are 914 single family and townhomes located in this subdivision. There is an elementary school and community pool located in Potomac Crossing.

History

On October 21, it is rumored by local Leesburg residents that the ghost of Union Colonel Edward D. Baker appears at his grave marker in the park. Ghost hunters frequent the park on this night, but have to leave when the park closes at dusk.

The school board is planning on building a new high school to accommodate the overflow of students at Heritage; this new school would most likely serve residents of Potomac Crossing, Exeter, and Edward's Landing. However, building on this new school would not begin until after the new school is built in Purcellville.
