List of countries by GNI per capita

This is a list of countries by Gross National Income per capita in 2006, according to the Atlas Method, an indicator of income developed by the World Bank.

a. 2006 data not available; ranking is approximate.
b. Data include the French overseas departments of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Réunion.
c. Estimate is based on regression; other purchasing power parity figures are extrapolated from the latest International Comparison Programbenchmark estimates.
d. Excludes data for Kosovo.
e. Estimate is based on a 1986 bilateral comparison of China and the United States (Rouen and Kai 1995) employing adifferent methodology than that used for other countries. This interim methodology will be revised in the next few years.
f. Data exclude Transnistria.
g. Data refer to mainland Tanzania only.
h. Estimated to be low income ($905 or less).
i. Estimated to be upper middle income ($3,596 to $11,115).
j. Estimated to be high income ($11,116 or more).
k. Estimated to be lower middle income ($906 to $3,595).
