Inlight

InLight is a four-piece indie/rock band from Oxford, England consisting of frontman Charlie Cooke, lead guitarist Mike Riddle, bassist Johnny Hunter and drummer Pete Lawless. In January 2008 it was announced that the band's music was to be featured in the 2008 film adaptation of Philip Pullman's The Butterfly Tattoo, with the song "Bridges" also to be used in the official trailer for the movie. After a support slot for The Envy Corps in early May, the band played a sold out "grand showcase", 'Space', at the Keble O'Reilly Theatre in Oxford, "as a response to growing interest in the band from the music industry and general public alike". On June 21st, InLight appeared at an unsigned showcase held by NCCR, after which they were chosen by Simon Gavin as winners of a day's recording at Universal Studios, London. In August, InLight were selected, as the judges choice, to appear in the fifth round of the Intel Unsigned competition in London, headlined by The Holloways. Mark Beaumont of NME magazine, who attended the event, described the band as "impressive".
