Ian Gilmore (born 1947) is a

Cambridge University andSt Thomas' Hospital , qualifying in 1971 and subsequently specialising ingastroenterology (diseases of the digestive tract), specifically liver disease. Having spent time in theUnited States at theUniversity of California, San Diego (1979-1980) as an MRC Travelling Fellow he assumed a consultant post atRoyal Liverpool University Hospital .
