Stickney, Lincolnshire

Stickney is a civil parish and linear village lying along the A16 road in the middle of the Fens, just east of New Bolingbroke in Lincolnshire, England in the district of East Lindsey.

The village hosts the Stickney Farm Park visitor attraction, opened in the early 2000s and the " [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/403044 Rising Sun] " public house. The parish church is dedicated to [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/163868 St Luke] . The postal address of residences in the village includes the nearby town of Boston, but the village is not in that borough.

There is the [http://www.stickney.lincs.sch.uk William Lovell CE Secondary Modern School] on "Main Road", which produces average results for that type of school. The [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/52299 primary school] is also on "Main Road", opposite the church.

The village used to be on an east-west [http://www.stickneyhistory.co.uk/TheRailway.htm railway line] , which closed in 1970.
