Jason Burke (
San Francisco ,California 1908 - 1975) was a book designer who succeeded C.H. Griffith as Director of Typographic Development at Mergenthaler-Linotype from 1948 until 1963. He designed the Trade Gothic, Majestic and Aurora typefaces (among others) during this time.He was also responsible for a number of other achievements at Mergenthaler-Linotype including:
