The 37th Legislative Assembly of Ontario was in session from June 8 1999 until May 5 2003, just prior to the 2003 general election. The majority party was the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party led by Mike Harris.
Mike Harris resigned as party leader in 2002; Ernie Eves was elected party leader in a leadership convention held in March 2002.
