That format has since moved to KSTY 104.5.On
June 9 ,2008 , KGDQ dropped Regional Mexican in favor of picking up the Smooth Jazz format that was dropped several months earlier byKJCD , in which they will utilize programming from Broadcast Architecture's "The Smooth Jazz Network". They also changed their call letters to KKHI and hired former KJCD hosts - morning host Kenny Cortes and one-time midday host Maria Lopez. In addition, the station airs syndicated afternoon host and sax starDave Koz , formerly heard in afternoons on KJCD. In a statement from the online website All Access, Bustos Media CEO Amador Bustos stated that "We will put our improved 101.9 FM signal to its best and highest use, by filling an evident music vacuum in the Denver metro, with the outstanding Smooth Jazz format produced by Broadcast Architecture in combination of some outstanding local talent."This is the third Smooth Jazz station to serve the Denver area, after KJCD (104.3) and KHIH (95.7).
