'Ali-Yullah Nakhjavani (born September, 1919 in
Haifa ,Israel ) served as a member of theUniversal House of Justice , the supreme governing body of theBahá'í Faith , between 1963 and 2003.Biography
After he received his
Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from theAmerican University of Beirut in 1939, in the early 1940s Mr. Nakhjavani returned toIran , his ancestral home, residing first inTehran , then inTabriz and finally inShiraz . He was a member of theNational Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Iran from 1950 to 1951.
