"Hay Amores" Released: November 13, 2007

Love in the Time of Cholera is the second extended play released by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira. The EP was released on February 25, 2008. It contains three songs featured in the film adaptation of Love in the Time of Cholera. Two of these songs, "Despedida" and "Hay Amores", were written specifically for the film on request from the novel's author, Gabriel García Márquez. The other song, "Pienso En Ti", is from Pies Descalzos, the singer's breakthrough album. The EP was released exclusively via iTunes, alongside the a full soundtrack that included the score for the film. The song "Despedida" was nominated for Best Original Song From A Motion Picture at the 2008 Golden Globes Awards Ceremony.^[1] Shakira has since performed 'Despedida' as part of her 'The Sun Comes Out World Tour'.
