Waynedale, Indiana

Waynedale, Indiana

Waynedale, Indiana is a community in the southwest quadrant of Fort Wayne, Indiana in Allen County. In early 1957, a vote was taken amongst residents in the Waynedale community, asking whether they were in favor of being incorporated as a self-sufficient town, or being annexed into the City of Fort Wayne. It was concluded that Waynedale and its estimated 6,000 residents would be annexed into the Fort Wayne city limits.

Waynedale is home to "The Waynedale News", which is printed on a bi-weekly basis and delivered to over 10,000 households on the southern fringe of Fort Wayne. [ [http://www.waynedalenews.com/ "The Waynedale News"] . Retrieved on 2008-05-30.]
