Damir Nikšić (born December 6, 1970) is conceptual artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina. His best known art work is 7 minutes long video entitled "If I Wasn't Muslim" (2005).[1]

1990–1992.
Damir Nikšić was co-founder and member (vocal singer) of rhythm and blues Band "Sing Sing" together with Anur Hadžiomerspahić (keyboards), Almir Kurt Kugla (vocal), Nebojša Šerić Šoba (bass), Juriša Boras (drums), Zečo Edin (guitar), Darko Poljak (sax), Marin Gradac (trombone), Jagoda Andrejić (back vocal), Igor Stanić (stage support), Samir Plasto (stage support). The band played four concerts (accompanied with exhibitions of photography by Dejan Vekić) in CDA Mladost (center of social activities) at the time directed by Miroslav Arapović Miro and Borislav Čurić Kokan.
1992–1996.
In 1992. Damir Nikšić lived as refugee in Slovenia In 1993. he moved to Milan, Italy. In 1994. during his stay in Monreale near Palermo painted wall-painings in the Church of St. Therese of Baby Jesus. 1995–1996. studied Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, and Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
1997–2000.[2]
Damir Nikšić was co-founder and member of Maxumim art group [3] together with Anur Hadžiomerspahić, Anela Šabić, Ajna Zlatar, Eldina Begić, Dejan Vekić, Almir Kurt Kugla, Plasto Samir, Hamdija Pašić Paja, Rachel Rossner, Nebojša Šerić Šoba, Suzana Cerić, Alma Fazlić, Zlatan Filipović.

2000–2010.
In 2000 he acquired BFA degree from Sarajevo Academy of Fine Arts and moved as a graduate student to Indiana, PA, USA.
In 2001 moved to Tucson, AZ where he graduated at the University of Arizona in May 2004.
In 2004 moved to Chicago, IL.
In 2005–2006 he moved to Evanston and worked as visiting professor at the Department of Art Theory & Practice (AT&P) at the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Northwestern University.[5]
