Kamzík TV Tower

Kamzík TV Tower

The Kamzík TV Tower is a 200 metre high television transmission tower in the Koliba area of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. It sits 433 m AMSL on the "Kamzík" hill, part of the Little Carpathians, overlooking much of the city. The tower lies within the territory of the Bratislava Forest Park. It was constructed in 1975, replacing the old transmission tower. [http://www.mix.sk/bratislava/bratislava-tv-veza.htm] The tower was constructed according to the project of architects J. Tomašík, S. Majka and J. Kozák.

The tower has an observation deck and the revolving "VEŽA" restaurant at 70 m, both open to visitors. The restaurant is approximately 68 m from the base of the tower, 506 m AMSL. In conditions of good visibility, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and, of course, Slovakia, are visible from the tower.
