Venezuelan Rock is a generic term that describes the different types of rock music from Venezuela, the most common being based on Rock en Español.

History

The rock in Venezuela took its first steps in the late 50 and can be traced to the band Los Dangers, where after Rudy Márquez It would be part of the Impala, Banda from the oil city of Maracaibo and the first South American group with a reputation that took great Impact outside the continent, making much of his career in Spain. Then appear bands like Los Darts, Los 007 and Los Claners that followed the Rock pattern established by the British. Sets as Ladies WC o Azúcar, Cacao y Leche and focused on what is progressive even entering the fusion stage of rock .

Subsequently appear bands like iceberg that having moved in Progressive (Atabal Yemal) rose to new wave (Essequibo). It also comes a move Metalera with Arkangel and Paul Gillman at the helm. Other prominent in the eighties Were the band Aditus and soloists and Melissa Aguilar who mixed rock with Pop and other trends such as the new wave, synth pop and funk respectively Making it more digestible and reaching a much larger audience, but the vast Banda ending with emerging international projection would Feeling Dead. In the nineties many bands appeared like, Caramelos de Cianuro, Desorden Público And Los Amigos Invisibles , who currently reside in New York. Another band that recorded significant achievements in the nineties was the band from Caracas Zapato 3, whose success "Pantaletas Negras" even after a decade continues.
