Buyan Khan (Buyan Sechen Khan1554 - 1604), was the Mongol Khan of the Northern Yuan Dynasty in Mongolia and he was the eldest son of Jasaghtu Khan whom he succeeded. During Buyan Khan’s rule, the Mongol Empire once again falling into disarray and although the great khan was recognized as the leader of all Mongols, this was in name only. Buyan Khan even attempted to show what was rumored to be the Heirloom Seal of the Realm to other Mongol clans to legitimatize his rule and ask their support, but this obviously did not come to frutation.
