Other names in common use include alpha-ketoaldehyde dehydrogenase, methylglyoxal dehydrogenase, NAD+-linked alpha-ketoaldehyde dehydrogenase, 2-ketoaldehyde dehydrogenase, NAD+-dependent alpha-ketoaldehyde dehydrogenase, and 2-oxoaldehyde dehydrogenase (NAD+).
