"The Year One" is an upcoming Harold Ramis-directed comedy film from Columbia Pictures and produced by Judd Apatow.

Plot

The film is about two men in a Biblical civilization and is in post production. In a recent interview regarding "Be Kind Rewind", Jack Black stated that "Year One" will be about two men running around in Moses' time. He said that the movie is similar to "Monty Python's Life of Brian". Jack Black stated that it might be fun to see all the stories of the Bible in a modern movie.

In an interview [ [http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1576092/20071207/story.jhtml MTV News] ] with MTV, Michael Cera described it as a comedy set in Biblical times. Black plays the main character Zed, who is looking for some kind of meaning for his life, and Cera a character named Oh, Zed's friend. Black warned viewers expecting a comedy along the lines of "Ghostbusters" or "Knocked Up" that the style of the film is much more along the lines of the Monty Python movies.
