The New Jersey State Parole Board is a governmental body in the U.S. State of New Jersey that is responsible for assisting offenders to reenter society as law-abiding residents.
The Parole Board aims to focus on assisting ex-offenders in overcoming the main obstacles that keep them from turning away from crime: "Lack of employment opportunities; lack of education and job skills; lack of strong family connections; drug addiction; and mental illness."[1]
