Glass Beach (Benicia, California)

Glass Beach (Benicia, California)

Glass Beach is an unusual beach in Benicia, California.

The glass-sand idea now being proposed in Florida's Broward County grew from the unintentional consequences of an ocean dump site in Northern California, the Glass Beach off Fort Bragg.

Another dump site in Kauai, Hawaii produced similar results.
