The music producer
Hans van Hemert was asked by VPRO (a Dutch TV channel) to write a theme for a popular TV series: Waldolala (a spin-off from "Van Oekels Discohoek", which started in 1974). With the help fromPiet Souer , he composed U.O.Me (Welcome To Waldolala) which was recorded by theLuv' singers. Moreover, the group appeared in this TV show. U.O.Me was considered asLuv' s first real mainstream success. Its Disco-Carnival sound changes from the pop arrangements of the two previous singles (My Man andDream, Dream ).
