Bourne School was a secondary school established in May 1954 situated on Rifle Range Road Kuala Lumpur, Malaya (present day Peninsular Malaysia). It was named after Lt. General Sir Geoffrey Bourne. Their purpose was to provide education for British Commonwealth students. In the main these children belonged to British Forces personnel serving in Malaya.
The school was run under BFES (British Families Education Services) and teachers would come out from the UK normally on a tour of no less than two years. Many served much longer.
Current Condition
The school closed its doors in July 1965 and most teachers and students transferred to other schools in Malaysia.
