Mike Lynch (sportscaster)

Mike Lynch is the sports director and anchor for WCVB-TV Channel 5 in Boston, Massachusetts. He is seen on the air at 6 and 11 PM from Sunday to Thursday, or when a significant sports event is happening. He has been at WCVB since 1982. Lynch became the principal Sports Anchor in 1985.[1]

"Lynchie" is also the host of Patriots All-Access on the station and the "High 5" program, which credits outstanding high school athletes in Massachusetts.

In 2011 the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association named Lynch Massachusetts Sportscaster of the Year. This was the fourteenth time that Lynch received this award, more than any other sportscaster in the history of the award.[2][3]

A former quarterback, placekicker and pitcher at Harvard University,Lynch kicked the winning field goal in the 1975 Harvard - Yale game. Lynch lives in Winchester, Massachusetts with his with his wife Mary Ellen and their three daughters. Lynch's eldest daughter runs the television recap site, Team Brenda, after Beverly Hills 90210's Brenda Walsh.
