Warren Brinegar

Warren Brinegar (born November 9, 1981 in Decatur, Illinois), nicknamed "Breakin' News", is a former on-air news talent who worked at WAND-TV in Decatur during the early 21st century. [The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency's [http://gotmesker.com Got Mesker?] web-page contains just one of Brinegar's numerous "Town Team" reports, of which he is famous.] He currently resides in Peoria, Illinois.

In 2004, as a Creative Writing student at Bradley University, Warren Brinegar co-won both the Academy of American Poets Prize and the Chester Sipple Poetry Award with his poems "Being Called Ma'am On More Than One Occasion" [http://www.bradley.edu/poet/student/Brinegar%20AofA.pdf] and "Nights Like This" [http://www.bradley.edu/poet/student/Brinegar%20-%20Sipple.pdf]
