The station went on the air as WSIM on
May 2nd 2000 . OnJune 18th 2003 the station changed its call sign to WPPG, then to WNFI onSeptember 7th 2004 & finally onMarch 22nd 2005 to the current WODR. Burnside ,John Prine andPhish , for example. It was not a stunt. It was Triple-A. The Penguin, also heard on 106.7 FM starting in August, was "a different kind of bird" that played "the music you've been waiting for." Program director Mark Keefe came fromWNCW .
