"Hobgoblins 2" is an upcoming sequel to the 1988 science fiction film, "Hobgoblins". The film is scheduled to be a June 2008 release on pay-per-view and video-on-demand. According to writer/director Rick Sloane, the film is intended to look like the original film, and was created using 35 mm film and composite effects.

Plot

The film takes place twenty years after the original film, where McCreedy has been locked in a psychiatric hospital after blowing up the film studio because of the Hobgoblins, which occurred at the end the first film. Kevin and his friends are now in college, and a Professor of his introduces them to McCreedy, who warns them that it is still possible to be attacked by Hobgoblins. Despite McCreedy's warning, Kevin and his friends re-encounter the Hobgoblins and must fight against them to save their lives.

Full of inside jokes and the same cheap special effects from the first film, the sequel is almost more of a remake. Even the characters are all dressed like its still the 80's. Fantazia now does internet sex instead of phone sex with Kyle, Nick has been dishonorably discharged from the army, Daphne is still a slut and Kevin is still henpecked by his frigid girlfriend Amy. The folks at Cinematic Titanic were among the first to have seen the film, though they aren't willing to reveal too much about it on their site.
