Pronunciation =Two Rock (or "Tigh Bródáin" in Irish) is a mountain in
County Dublin , Ireland. It is 1,759 feet (536 metres) high.On the peak of this mountain, there is a cairn known as the Fairy Castle. The hill is sometimes referred to by this name though "Two Rock" or "Two Rock Mountain" are the names commonly used.
Heritage
There is a bronze age
wedge tomb at "Ballyedmonduff" on the south eastern slope of Two Rock. It is known locally as "the giants grave". It is a rectangular chamber divided into three parts surrounded by a U shaped double walled kerb filled with stones. The tomb was excavated in the 1940s when cremated bone,a polished stone hammer, flints and pottery were found.Below Two Rock Mountain is the prominent South Dublin landmark of
Three Rock , complete with its Communications Masts, and to the southeast of the summit lies the village ofGlencullen .ee also
