30 July 1863 , the steamer arrived atWashington, D.C. ,3 August . Her name was changed to "Clyde"11 August 1863 . "Clyde" sailed from Washington6 September 1863 and arrived at Key West13 September for duty with theEast Gulf Blockading Squadron .She patrolled the coastal and inland waters of western
Florida and among theFlorida Keys until the end of the war. She captured theschooner "Amaranth"27 September 1863 , and participated in two boat expeditions up theSuwanee River and theWaccasassa River , capturing nearly 200 bales of cotton.Post-war decommissioning and sale
