He appeared in 76 films between 1921 and 1932. His crude threatening looking features were a result of acromegaly. This visage led him to be exploited as a menace from one silent film to another be it comedy, drama, adventure, romance etc.
He was born in Benton, Kentucky, and died in Hollywood, California from a heart attack.
